Tom Rohling, Principal
Tom Rohling, a widely respected media management technologist, has worked with nearly every vendor and technology in the space.  Tom is a customer-oriented software architect and engineering manager – a problem solver - with proven leadership, advanced technical skills, and more than ten years experience delivering quality enterprise and commercial products.  Over the years Tom’s unique critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills have lead to the development and implementation of efficient and practical solutions to challenging business and technical problems.  Tom is highly skilled in the management, design, and development of large, successful, enterprise, distributed applications and services.  Prior to Rookwood, Tom architected Enterprise Media Asset Management solutions for entertainment, corporate and government markets at eMotion and Cinebase Software, a company he founded with Mr. Timko in 1995.  Tom has a MS in Aerospace Engineering.
John Barrow, Principal
John’s experience in enterprise collaboration and systems integration are at the core of The Rookwood Group’s capabilities.  John comes to Rookwood from Copernus Inc., an enterprise collaboration systems provider with clients including Schlumberger and Procter & Gamble. At Copernus, John was responsible for integration with 3rd party systems such as Lotus Notes and Plumtree Portal.  He led the pilot project which became the basis for Copernus' unique data modeling technology. John began his career in software development and consulting over a decade ago with Melco Saurer.  Along with his diversity of experience with various technologies and platforms, John has a common sense approach to problem solving and project management.  In his free time, John enjoys cooking and making pottery.
Alan Fishman, Principal
Alan brings to Rookwood over a decade of enterprise professional services experience and best practices.  Alan began his career in public accounting as a Manager in the Entrepreneurial Services Group of Ernst and Young.  Alan also served as Controller and CFO for manufacturing and service firms with revenues of up to $100 million.  In 1994 Alan co-founded Definiti, a Cincinnati-based systems integration and web development firm that was sold to Eviciti in 2000.  Alan brings a unique blend of technology planning, project management, operations experience, and ROI evaluation skills to Rookwood.  In his free time Alan is on the Board of Mentors for the Madison E-Zone, a Kentucky-based technology accelerator and he is an avid road bicyclist.  Alan earned an M.B.A. degree from Indiana University and a B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Illinois; he is also a Certified Public Accountant.
